We are proud to be part of the Portuguese Mini-forest Network! Urbem, along with five other organisations dedicated to environmental and urban regeneration, is joining forces to transform cities into more resilient and greener spaces. 🌳

The initiative promotes mini-forests inspired by the Miyawaki method – dense native forests that grow quickly and bring enormous benefits: better air quality, carbon capture, reduced urban heat and habitats for local fauna and flora. With the active participation of communities, we want to revitalise urban spaces and promote well-being and a sense of belonging in every corner of Portugal.

Urbem, alongside partners such as Biggest Mini Forest, Floresta Nativa/Nativawaky, Forest Impact, Ilhas de Biodiversidade and 2adapt, intends to expand these actions from the north to the south of the country, creating a lasting environmental and social impact.
